After several years of experience as a supervisor with a local nation wide
motor freight carrier and at a local licensed U. S. Customhouse firm, Hector M. Caballero
received license no. 11347 in October 1988 authorizing him to transact business as a
licensed U.S. Customhouse Broker. the first office was established in the laredo downtown
area at 1000 Washington street ste no. 2.
With the support of friends,
customers, and staff he quickly established himself as a predominant brokerage firm for
the import of livestock from Mexico thru the Laredo port, the business was incorporated
to Caballero Brokers, Inc. in August 1989. He received corporate Customhouse license 11739 in
October 1989. In december 1989, at the request of several of clients, a second office was
opened in del Rio, Texas. The following year offices at the Hidalgo - Reynosa Border,
Roma - Miguel Aleman Border, and Eagle Pass - Piedras Negras border were operational.
In October 1990 Caballero Brokers, Inc. received CH
license 374 authorizing them to transact business as a bonded carrier.
Establishing
our commitment to fulfill our clients increasing need for warehousing and distribution,
Caballero Brokers, Inc. moved its entire Laredo operation to a 16,000 square foot facility located
at 4602 Modern Lane in January 1996. This move allowed consolidation of
both U.S. Customhouse Broker activities with forwarding, warehousing and distribution.
Fulfilling our ongoing commitment, in November 1998 Caballero Brokers, Inc purchased an
additional warehouse location at 4605 Modern Lane. In which facility Caballero Brokers, Inc. now operates. This
location will house a modern state of the art facility which will include over 8,000
square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet of warehouse space and 42,000 square feet
of yard.
Our understanding,
experience and ability to foresee and fill importing, warehousing, and
distribution needs has allowed us to better help our customer understand and comply
with all import regulations and requirements, thus permitting their goods to celar
through U.S. Customs and other governmental agencies as smoothly and as fast as
possible.
